Pat Alison
Pat Allison, who was named the Women and the Law Section’s first Texas Trailblazer, has been Board Certified in Oil, Gas and Mineral Law since 1988 and is the first and only person in this specialization area to be chosen as a Director of the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, a position she currently holds. She has been actively involved in many legal professional organizations, having served as President, Vice President of Model Contracts, Vice President of Education and Director of the U.S. Chapter of the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators, an organization of over 4500 members from more than 90 countries. She was twice awarded its Member of the Year Award. Pat has also served as Chair of the Houston Bar Association Oil, Gas and Mineral Law Section and as a member of the Executive Committee of the Institute for Energy Law of the Center for American and International Law and Chair of its Oil and Gas Practice Committee.
